The large seat, footrests, and backrest ensure maximum comfort. Looking at this black, upholstered bar stool, one might get the impression that it is both a modern, contemporary piece and a retro stool from the 1970s or 1980s. The chair’s legs have a tapered design, making it appear light despite its weight. The height of the backrest ensures great seating comfort for people of all heights.
Upholstery that is resistant to stains and wear
This Scandinavian-style wooden chair is upholstered in soft Portuguese eco-leather, which is almost indistinguishable from natural leather to the touch. However, this fabric is significantly more abrasion-resistant than natural leather, as it can withstand up to 500,000 cycles of use.
Dante Bar Stool (Backless)
The Dante family also welcomed a bar stool in 2024. It’s the perfect solution for those of you looking for a slightly more delicate bar stool that can be tucked away, for example, under an island countertop. The lack of a backrest makes the stool more open and airy, so it doesn’t block the space.
A chair with upholstery that's easy to change
If you get tired of the chair’s upholstery or it no longer matches your interior, you can easily replace it with a different one over time.
The upholstered seat cover is attached with 4 standard screws, which you can loosen and tighten as many times as you like using a regular screwdriver. You can have the seat cover reupholstered by any upholsterer.
There’s no need to buy a new chair. You can adapt your Dante to your new interior style.

Italy
Born in Casablanca to an Italian father and a French mother, he grew up in a multicultural environment, which is reflected in his constant search for contrasts in his designs. He moved to Milan to study at the Polytechnic, where he earned degrees in industrial design and, later, in design and engineering. After internships at Atelier Mendini and Studio Giovannoni, he set out to forge his own path. Luigi currently collaborates with several companies around the world.
