Ferdinand Hartz first earned a degree in industrial engineering and then in design from the University of Saarbrücken, where he still lives today. Under the guidance of Professors Oskar Holweck and Siegbert Gölzer—well-known in Germany for their extensive contributions to the field of design—he earned the title of Industrial Designer. Together with his business partner, he has been running a furniture and interior design studio for over 30 years. He designs custom display furniture for a major tableware manufacturer. His great passion is furniture design, which is why he currently works primarily as a freelance furniture designer, but also as a graphic designer.
