Lubo Majer

Designer Lubo Majer graduated with a degree in Furniture Design from the Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia. As a student, he began working as a furniture designer for various companies, while also pursuing interior design, photography, and independent furniture design projects. Since 1995, he has been designing furniture under his own name, while also collaborating with companies such as Ton, Fosali, Dizajno, and many others.

Lubo’s work is his passion and calling. He believes that design is exciting because it bridges the material and immaterial worlds. He focuses on the constant pursuit of improvement, understanding people and their needs, and making the best possible use of materials. He boldly experiments and brings ever-new ideas to life. Lubo’s goal is to create pieces that combine function and form to enrich the lives of their users. For take me HOME., he designed the MILO furniture series, which won the 2020 Red Dot Award and the German Design Award, as well as the INTELIGO modular shelving system.
